Home Rack & Mixer Cases

Rack & mixer cases

Rack and mixer cases, built to your U-count.

Your gear sits square on rails that carry the load, the lids come off for cabling and go back on for the road, and everything travels as one piece instead of five.

Why it matters

Rack gear lives a hard life.

It gets wheeled across car parks, stacked three high in a trailer, cabled in the dark by whoever’s nearest, and unloaded at 2am by people who didn’t buy it. Loose units shift in transit, connectors take the strain, and a rack that isn’t properly supported puts all its weight on the ears of the top unit.

A properly built rack case fixes that — and makes setup faster. A rack that arrives already patched is a rack you plug in and switch on, not one you rebuild at every venue.

Configurations

Seven ways to build a rack.

Standard racks

2U to 20U+, shallow or deep.

Twin-lid racks

Front and rear removal for cabled installs.

Doghouse racks

Cable space behind the rack rails.

Mixer-over-rack combos

Desk on top, outboard underneath.

Slant-top / FOH racks

Angled surface at working height.

Amp racks

Reinforced, ventilated, castored.

Shockmount racks

For sensitive electronics and freight.

Out in days.

Most racks leave the workshop inside a week. Imported cases take six to eight, before customs decides otherwise.

Panels, extrusion, hardware and foam are all in stock. Nothing gets ordered in, nothing clears customs, nothing sits in a queue behind someone else’s container.

Specify it with us.

Four things get us to a quote:

  • The U count
  • The depth of your deepest unit
  • Whether you cable from the rear
  • Whether it needs to roll

Don’t have the numbers? Send a photo of the gear and we’ll work it out.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How do I work out what U height I need?

Count the rack units of everything going in and add at least 2U spare — most people spec exactly what they own today and outgrow it within a year. Not sure? Send a photo of the gear stacked as you’d rack it and we’ll count it for you.

Do I need a doghouse or twin lids?

It depends on how you cable. If you patch the rear and leave it patched, you want a doghouse — the extra depth behind the rails gives cables somewhere to live without straining connectors. If you cable fresh at every venue, twin lids are simpler and lighter.

Will my amplifiers overheat in a closed case?

Not if it’s built for them. Amp racks get ventilation panels and, where needed, fan mounts — but the rack has to be specced that way from the start. Tell us what’s going in and how hard it’s driven.

Can you match the racks we already own?

Yes. Same construction, colour, hardware, footprint and stack height, so new racks sit alongside your fleet with no gaps in the trailer.

Send us the dimensions. We’ll do the rest.

Most quotes go out the same day. WhatsApp us a photo of your gear, or fill in the quote form — either way, you talk to the person who builds it.
